Our Programs
The Canadian Gene Cure Foundation is dedicated to its four programs: Research Grants, Scriver MD/PhD Scholarships, the Canadian Human Genetics Conference, and Gene Researcher for a Week. These programs were developed specifically to address the growth of human genetics research in Canada. The Research Grants are awarded every year to scientists studying various genetic disorders.
This funding is crucial in expanding research and development in Canada. Our Scriver MD/PhD Scholarships facilitates funding for students training to work in the medical genetics field. The Canadian Human Genetics Conference encourages networking among post-docs and experienced scientists to enable collaboration and mentoring. The Gene Researcher for a Week program targets high school students with the hope of inspiring already motivated students to pursue a career in genetics research.
